Korfball 29th March weekly update

Hi everybody!
   

This week we did Korfball! We learnt that it was mixture of netball and basketball.
He taught us lots of facts like how to mark and shoot a hoop. The ball was yellow with a hexagon pattern on it like a soccer ball. This is us playing a game

Friday 21 March Eels

Hello everyone!


Today a man came to tell us about eels.
His name was Don and he is an eel expert.
He told us about some eel facts and appearance.
This is some facts he shared with us...


  • Eels are slimy because they need to slip throw narrow things
  • There are Longfin, Shortfin, Moray and Spotted eels
  • Their ear bone is used to tell how old they are
  • Eels can see and and smell very well
  • They can spin around ten times a second
  • The female is bigger than the male
  • Eels get caught for testing of age
  • They are metamorphosis that means they change shape                     
  • There is a factory that gives you money when you catch eels   
  • Eels don't like sunlight

Thursday 21st March Missionary vist

 Hello tur wilujeng sumping ka blog abdi

That means hello and welcome to my blog in Sudanese.

Today two missionaries came to tell us about South Sudan. They were called Phil and Janet.

Here are some facts that they shared with us...

*There are crocodiles and electric fish in the Nile river
*Saying hello is halo
*They fly little planes
*Their only road is dangerous
*The river Nile is dirty
*South Sudan and Sudan signed a treaty to split their country
*The population in Juba is around about 400,000
*In their country 100 South Sudan pounds= 30 NZ cents!
*In South Sudan their cattle is money 
*South Sudan gets VERY hot it gets up around 40 degrees 
*Their houses are made of bamboo and mud

Green hat day!

Hi everyone!

It's been a great week!  But sadly it is raining.
But that's ok!  Today is green hat day for Saint Patrick's day.  Since Saint Patrick's day is on Sunday we decided to do it on Friday since it's the closest day to Sunday at school.  Here's a picture down below.I'm the the one with the big hat.

Weekly Update Friday 8 March

Hello,

This week has been amazing!!! The highlight for me was our eel trip on Thursday. We learned about the bugs that lives in our waterways. The bugs also help the eels stay alive. My favourite part was when me and my friends were making a magical river for our 100% natural art lesson.
